Journey
Tamara was on the path towards a career in psychology, when she decided to pursue her true calling: cosmetology. After receiving her bachelor's degree from Langston University, she pursued her passion and enrolled at Francis Tuttle Technology Center. Upon graduating, she continued her education and earned a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Langston University where she worked as a therapist for 8 years before obtaining her Master of Cosmetology earning a license as a Cosmetology Instructor. Today, she credits her wide-ranging knowledge and education as the key to her success. Her practical skills, innate creativity, and focus on the customer experience consistently result in thoughtfully crafted and flattering styles, perfectly tailored to every one of her clients.
As well as catering to a wide-range clientele, she has developed a niche for creative and elegant updos, lasting extensions, a wide variety of braided styles and constantly learning new trends in color and sculpture. She is able to create effortlessly chic styles to accommodate signature elegance around the globe. Branding herself as Tam Chan has become the perfect name for her many talents.
In June 2022, Tamara will launch her first line of hair care products entitled SIGNATURE VIBE. This hair care line is designed to address the needs of women of color with various hair textures. Stay tuned for more …
